188bet.com closes down Germany

Dear visitor

As a result of recent legislation passed in Germany, online gambling operators such as 188BET, are now required to obtain a German Gambling Licence.

We are notifying you to ensure you are aware that 188BET has announced they are no longer accepting players from Germany as of July 4th, 2012 due to the lack of German operating license.

188BET decision to obtain a German Gambling Licence is under review and if circumstances change we will advise you accordingly.

188BET will honour all pending bets and bets placed up until midnight (GMT) on 04 July 2012. When all bets including those pending, have been satisfied, 188BET will, in accordance with German legislation, return any balances to players’ accounts and then formally close the account. Accounts will be closed on 18th July 2012.

In order to help you out in finding a new reliable operator to substitute 188bet, with whom we have had a good cooperation so far, we have made a short list of praised  bookmakers that you might consider as your replacement.

Pinnacle Sports – extensive offer of asian handicap bets with high limits on high number of leagues. Their offer is especially good for US Sports but customers betting on European leagues will find their offer excellent as well.

Canbet – UK licenced bookmaker present on the market since 1995. Have no problems accepting higher amounts on any league and are a member of Independent Betting Arbitration Service (IBAS).

Drop an eye on this list as we will be adding more operators soon!
